Mini wallets with matching key chains

I finished these last night. One for a birthday gift and the other will be in a give away really soon. I just need to finish the Bumble Bee sets.

So when I make a quilted mini wallet I will sometimes quilt a larger piece of fabric in order to get more than one wallet. This the is remainder of a previous made wallet, so I got two more out of the fabric!!!

I am having a hard time concentrating with all the virus chaos going on. I work for Samaritan Health in Lebanon Oregon where we have 17 residents in our VA assisted living infected with this thing and three employees there.

We are getting many Covid-19 updates through out the day and so many of our patients are cancelling, which is fine. It is hard to not panic truthfully.

One more day at work and I will have 3 days off to garden and sew. And take my mind off things. I shall stay home other than getting groceries. I plan on going early in the morning, by 7 am because the stores are a lot quieter, less people.

Take care friends, I am praying daily for all of us.

  1. Oh my gosh, you seem to be at the epicenter of the plague in your community. That must be really scary, for you and everyone else in the center. Here in NY state pretty much every business is shuttered except those essential services like grocery and drugstores. Many banks have gone to drive thru tellers only, schools and colleges are closed, some for the rest of the spring semester. It's a strange time. I recall when I was young the panic over the polio epidemic. We should be telling the younger generations about that so they realize that they are not the only group that has ever gone through an epidemic.

  2. You know, I don't feel really scared unless I have to head in to the grocery store!!! Work has been slow so that is good, patients are afraid to come in. We are going to start doing phone visits once they figure out the billing. We are in an addiction clinic, so phone contact will work fine.
I am trying to figure out a mask pattern, doesn't turn out the way it did in the video I watched!! Oh well. Once prototype in the garbage and I will restart on another one. We are short on masks at the hospital and our ER/Urgent cares, that is scary!!
Hope you stay well and thanks for the visit!!!
