Time for a Christmas Quilt

I was going through some of my Christmas fabric scraps and found these pieced blocks and decided that I need to make a small Christmas quilt wall-haning. At first I thought about using the triangles above, but it wasn't exactly working for me.

Then I decided to use the leftover fabric from all those satin stockings I just finished. Remember those??? I ended up making 16!!!! I am kind of done with satin for awhile, for a long while that is.

I was relieved to be done truthfully. Once the "cheer" moms finish decorating the stockings, I will share again.

Back to the Christmas quilt. I decided on the white because it gives me lots of quilting space!!!

I'm going to use the above stencil, but not sure what else. I am thinking of quilting the design with red 100# silk thread. I will pull the red fabric together and I think it will be OK.

I will also add the red for a wide border and the green will be the binding. I am excited to start a new project which I should not be doing because I have so many others in progress!!!
Oh well, it's how I roll!!!

Take care, Martha
