I got a bit of a wild hair when I got home from work on Monday night. I wondered if I could make a bookmark similar to the postcards I've made. So I decided to give it a try. I finished it this morning!!
So there is my first bookmark. It was fun and I'd like to make many many more, I really enjoyed the process!

I found some left over silk fabric |
started stitching a feather |
added more stitching |
and then scribbled in some background stitching. I think chicken scratch is a good name for this stitch!! |
chick scratching done |
and the back of the little "quilt" |

ReplyDeleteYour elaborate stitch work is gorgeous!
What a marvellous bookmark - except it is so fine that it's a pity to hide it between the pages... :) Your feather is impeccable.
ReplyDeleteThis is gorgeous! And I agree, much too nice to hide between the pages. You have an amazing talent with that machine.
ReplyDeleteOh Martha I really like this. I want to try it. I always like what you come up with!
