Going Camping

Next quilt in line for free-motion quilting. I actually got it all pinned today so the quilting can commence soon. My sweet little Bailey is sitting in the passenger seat. I miss her terribly but now she gets to go camping forever on this quilt. I have also been making epoxy resin candle holders. I have about 9 more to make so hopefully I can get those done quickly, they need to be wrapped up for Easter vigil gifts!!!
I started making Rosary containers to match but I just don't think I have time to get them all done. So candle holders will be it!! Take care and thanks for the visit-Martha

  1. What a nice keepsake quilt! Cute Bailey is fondly remembered here, in this pretty... jelly roll quilt, is it? I like your addition of appliqué blocks to give the quilt real character. You'll enjoy quilting it, no doubt. Those resin candle holders are pretty. Can't imagine how those are made, but what thoughtful gifts. And rosary containers? Since I am not familiar with them, I'm guessing it's a place to store rosary beads? You're a very generous maker and gifter.

    1. Thank you Linda!! I love that little Bailey is on the quilt, her presence makes me smile. This is a sort of jelly roll quilt, it was floral 2" strips that I had cut out for doing watercolor quilts and thought they would make the perfect jelly roll race quilt top!!
I am still making the candle holders, two more to go and I will be done. The last two are a pearly white and a light gray. They are a lot of fun to create although they take up space on my cutting table.
