January OMG-One Monthly Goal-is completed!!!!!

Here is the finished quilt. I named it, "Off Kilter".
It turned out like I had hoped and is now off waiting to be hung in a local quilt show.

I free-motion quilt with my Juki

And used Aurifil thread for the top and bobbin.

My main goal for the quilting was no marking and no
rulers.

All free-motion, free-hand.

My lines are not perfectly straight.

But I just kept reminding myself that I am not a machine.
And I am not perfect.

Getting close!!

And done. So glad to have a ufo completed!!!

  1. Those rectangle stitches that you did are amazing on your quilt and your quilt is a piece of art. Not for cuddling, but for hanging on the wall and enjoying like a beautiful painting :)

    1. Thank You Connie!! It was fun to quilt but I am a little nervous about what the quilt show judges are going to say. I def did not worry about my stitch length on it!! Oh well, I am sure I will learn from their comments.

  2. What a great little quilt, and I love your fmq design. That is an amazing amount of loft you quilted down! I hope you'll post some photos from the quilt show. Good luck with your entries!

    1. Thank You Pat!! It was fun to quilt and actually pretty easy to do. Now to see it in the show next weekend!!! We are going on Saturday. I am a little nervous about it. The only time I have entered a quilt in a judging show was at the State Fair.

  7. That is awesome! I love off kilter things, but pictures hangin off kilter drive me crazy! I always have to straighten them. But this I quite like.

    1. Thank you Chris!! And I have to agree with you, I also am a picture straightener!!! Even if they aren't mine. I can see if they are off by 1/16th of an inch :^)

  8. This quilt is gorgeous and so exceptional, contemporary, and a tribute to free motion quilting without templates and guidelines. Do you sell this pattern? If not, know whatever inspired you to such a unique piece is also appreciated.
