A Fabric Give-Away and what I am working on

Let's start with what I am working on: Many Items Too Numerous To Count!!!
This is me in town yesterday. We went for doughnuts and I decided to pop
in to an antique store. And there was this adorable hand pieced little
donkey. My Grandpa Russ collected donkeys, so, of course, I brought
him home!!
He just needs a border and some free motion quilting!!!
Auditioning some Aurifil thread for quilting. I have it all marked, just waiting
for my Quilters Dream batting to arrive.
I started this little quilt in 2012 and decided that I should get
it finished. Still much to do, but it is looking good so far!!

I'm doing some intense scribbling around the feathers, that
is going to take awhile but I like the effect!!

  5. That vintage Donkey is an adorable find!
Your fish quilt top is gorgeous, I know it will look amazing once you quilt it! I am always in awe of the intricate designs you create with your machine quilting skills.
TIP: I always take a picture of my finished blocks laid out on the floor in the order they will be stitched into my quilt before I sew it all together. This way I have a reference if my blocks get shuffled or I've sewn out of sequence.

    1. Thank you Doreen!! Great idea to take a photo of the blocks in order. Sometimes I have noticed you can see by the photo that things need to be shifted about. Great tip!!!

    1. Thank you Barbara!! Now you have me wondering how many rotary cutters you have!!! I have two, but use one more than the other. I thought about getting a larger diameter one, but haven't done that yet. Good luck in the giveaway!!

  9. My favorite tools are the Quilter's Slidelock tools. I eliminated my UFO's by making myself complete 2 UFO's before I start a new project. Great find with the donkey topper, especially since it has generated fond memories for you. Would love to see it when you finish it.
